About Me:
Haven at Home Nursing was founded on a simple but vital promise: to ensure that no one has to navigate the weight of healthcare challenges alone. I believe that every individual deserves a standard of care rooted in dignity, and I am dedicated to being the bridge that makes that possible.
The Heart Behind the Mission
My mission began in 2021 when I returned home to support my father as he faced declining health. He valued his independence above all else and wanted to stay in his own home. While I was determined to honor that wish, I quickly realized that finding reliable, highly skilled, and truly dedicated support was a struggle even for a seasoned nurse.
I stepped in to provide the caliber of care I sought for my own family: care that is reliable, knowledgeable, and deeply respectful. Today, I am passionate about providing that same support to others, allowing people to preserve their autonomy and have a real choice about where they want to be through every stage of life.
Professional Authority & Expertise
My career began as a CNA in the early 2000s, where I learned the profound importance of daily personal care. I have since built upon that foundation through a dedicated progression in nursing, becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in 2009 and a Registered Nurse (RN) in 2013.
Clinical Leadership: I have served in key administrative roles, including Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) and Clinical Supervisor. In these roles, I provided high-level oversight of nursing operations and managed regulatory excellence within complex Long-Term Care environments.
Specialized Clinical Foundations: My clinical analysis is built on a foundation of specialized practice. My expertise is backed by years of dedicated training in LTC, Hospice, and Neurological care. I have previously held national certifications in Hospice and Palliative Care (CHPN) and as a Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS), and I bring that same level of rigorous, specialty-focused scrutiny to every case I review.
Community Consulting: Previously serving as a Nurse Consultant for group homes and PCA services, I helped community-based residences establish clinical systems to achieve higher standards of care for their residents.
Advocacy in Action
Whether I am working alongside a family to navigate a difficult diagnosis or helping a legal team analyze a complex medical record, my goal remains the same: honoring the individual. By maintaining dual licensure in Iowa and Minnesota and staying at the forefront of clinical best practices, I ensure that my clients—whether in the home or in the legal arena—receive the highest standard of service.
